Naxxar Lions 1Sirens 0
Trevor Fenech's goal was enough for Naxxar Lions to have the better of Sirens and chalk up their fourth win of the season. The St Paul's Bay team had Kenneth Zammit sent off in the second half.
Naxxar Lions were the better team during the first period and Adrian Fenech came close on two separate occasions. At the other end, Giovanni Galea missed a sitter for Sirens.
Naxxar took a deserved lead on 30 minutes when Fenech fired home from a Chris Farrugia corner. Kevin Naudi almost made it 2-0 just before the break.
Sirens seized the initiative after the change of ends and on 52 minutes a shot by Clyde Grech was well saved by Bjorn Attard.
On 73 minutes, Sirens were unlucky when Kristian Galea's header hit the bar and from the rebound Ian Borg's shot was saved by Attard. Five minutes later, Zammit, of Sirens, was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Late on Buttigieg denied Naxxar a second goal when he kept out Andrew Catania's close range shot.
